Online induction motor rotor time constant estimation using perturbation-based extremum seeking control

<p class="Abstract"><span lang="EN-US">A novel online induction motor (IM) rotor time constant estimator based on a perturbation-based extremum seeking control (ESC) and model reference adaptive system (MRAS) is proposed. Since implementations of fieldoriented (FOC) requires accurate values IM parameters, such as constant, so robust on-line estimations parameters are crucial for any modern industrial drives. The proposed MRAS employs ESC method to estimate the resistance in various operating conditions. Meanwhile, since model-free scheme, it other parameter variations. feasibility effectiveness estimation by utilizing scheme has been verified simulation experimental results. A 2.2 kW setup implemented. </span></p>
